Tips for Solopreneurs: How to use Google+ for Business
If you are a solo business owner, you are managing your operations without any assistance. You need help marketing your business, but youGoogle plus for businessalso need help connecting with individual customers. Google+ is a good way for you to reach out to your customer base, and all four of the options below will help. Solopreneurs do not have to hire a large staff in order to be successful.

Step #1: Set Up Your Google+ Account

You must have an active social media account that customers can find. At the very beginning of your business, having a page is enough to remind people that you exist. Over time, you can build that page to include more content. Customers will keep coming back, but they must be able to find you as soon as your business opens.  Create a gmail email account for your business and then create your business page.  Follow the Google instructions here.

Step #2: Keep Your Google Account Humming

Your social media account for your business should be just as active as your personal account. Posting new content, making friends with customers and making sure you are being true to yourself will help you to gain more followers. The smallest of posts could bring people back to your page because you seem like a real person.  And most importantly be consistent.

Step #3: Offer Deals on Google+

Use your page to advertise your business. You must be mindful that people do not want to see advertisements for your business. People want to have the chance to get a discount or win a contest. If you have a special deal or contest up on the page, people will be more interested in what your business does. Remember is comes down to the customer saying what’s in it for me.

Step #4: Connect With Other Businesses on Google+

Complementary businesses can join forces with you on Google+ so that you can offer special deals that are paid for by both businesses. You may own a travel agency, and an amusement park may offer ticket discounts to your customers. You can do a joint deal with any business you find on the network.
Solopreneurs have a full plate and all of the marketing for the business is normally handled by one person, and you do not want to waste time or money. A free Google+ account will provide you with a platform to advertise your business and interact with customers. You do not need to have a massive marketing budget, and your business can flourish as it makes connections on Google+, which will take time and patience.
There are rumors that Google is going to dismantle it’s social network, but I believe it will remain a viable tool for small business.
