Small business owners are undoubtedly incredibly busy people. With low budgets and a handful of resources, they must make up for a lack of manpower by being a jack of all trades. As such, there’s no wonder that most owners look to technology to help save a little bit of time. One way that you can incorporate technology into your small business operations is to use mobile apps.
In today’s world of social media and networking, business owners need to be represented online, whether it’s through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or even their own website. These three social media platforms can be a great way to connect with customers online. However, there usually isn’t enough time in the day for busy owners to keep their accounts updated. As a result, an app called LocalVox provides a service for business owners by publishing, news, and promotional deals about their respective businesses. With just a click of a button, you can easily upload this information onto your social media accounts, local online directories, and even your websites.
Every smart business owner needs to stay on top of the business’s finances, too. But hiring a professional to look after your books can get costly, requiring funds that most small businesses do not have. For those on a tight budget, an app called InDinero can take care of your accounting, taxes, and even payroll. Not only does this app save money and time, but also it even provides graphs and analytics to give you a visual representation of where your money is going.
Another helpful mobile app is TextUs.Biz. With all the tasks that a business owner has to get completed, it is nearly impossible to answer every business call and be there to greet and talk to all visitors to your office. However, TextUs.Biz does the impossible by being a virtual secretary with the help of an iPad. Visitors are greeted by an iPad. The tablet screen prompts the visitor to leave their name and a message. When this happens, you receive a notification via text message, email, or both. You can respond immediately if you choose, creating a two-way conversation even when you are not physically present.
Business owners have more on their plates than they care to have. Luckily, mobile apps can drastically change business processes and most importantly, make life easier for the busiest of people.
These are great for the DIY business owner, but we find many of our clients want to hand these tasks over to someone else to manage. That’s where we come in. These are all services we provide for clients. Let us know if you are interested in learning more.
